Harley-Davidson has named Stacey Watson senior director, consumer segment marketing, for all of the OEM’s customer segments across North America, according to a company release.
Watson will be responsible for directing the marketing strategy for all core and outreach consumer segments within North America, with a focus on women, young adults, African-American and Hispanic markets. Watson currently serves as leader of the Harley-Davidson Museum; her new role will begin June 1.
Before this appointment, core and outreach customer marketing duties were handled separately at H-D. Consolidating those duties is “part of our ongoing work to better align the organization and support our international growth strategy, and to be a little bit more integrated,” according to H-D spokeswoman Amanda Lee.
“I am proud of what we accomplished together at the Museum to create a world-class destination right here in Milwaukee,” says Watson, “and I am thrilled to continue strengthening the company’s focus on customers in my new role.”
Moving into Watson’s vacated position will be Bill Davidson, great-grandson of H-D co-founder William A. Davidson. Bill Davidson has been with the company for more than 26 years in various marketing leadership positions.
“I’m excited and honored to share that story and continue to build the Harley-Davidson legacy with everyone who visits the museum from around the world,” Bill Davidson says.
